Benny
Bray goes "Totally Wild" at the SuperGP
Team
Bray Racing Team Top Doorslammer driver, Ben Bray has given Network
Ten's "Totally Wild" presenter, Pip Russell the ride of
her life at the Nikon SuperGP on the Gold Coast.
Pip described her ride in the 2500-horsepower TBR Burnout Ute as
'exhilarating' and was pleased to get an insight into high powered
cars and the demands that drivers such as Ben go through.
Ben
was happy to give Pip a lap around the SuperGP circuit, where the
TBR burnout ute used up one set of rear tyres, 220 litres' of fuel
& reach speeds of around 250km/h, .
Ben Bray - #TBR burnout Ute:
"It was great to be able to give Pip a ride in our car,"
said Ben.
"We are similar in that we are both entertainers, Pip is on
the TV every week day at 7.30am and this week end I am part of the
on-course entertainment between Supercar racers. It's always good
to really show other people exactly what our sport is all about."
"It was great for me to show Pip how it's done and she showed
me a trick or two about talking in front of a TV camera as well,
so it was pleasure to give her a run in the Burnout Ute."
Pip
Russell - Totally Wild Presenter:
"It was awesome," said Pip.
"I've certainly never been that fast before but I loved every
minute of it."
"I've now have a lot of appreciation for how skilful they have
to be at the speeds they're travelling."
"It's very hot in the car and really the whole thing was just
unbelievable. This is going to make a fantastic story. I would love
to spend some more time with Team Bray, get behind the scene and
be mechanic for a day."
"I would just like to finish by saying a big Thank You to Team
Bray for setting up such a fun and amazing story, I am sure it will
look great!"
Team
Bray are preparing for the next round of the Top Doorslammer ANDRA
Pro series to be held at the Perth Motorplex 13th and 14th of November
2009.
