Benny looking forward to Turbo Time

Ben Bray is ready for a challenge at this weekend's Compak Attak, as part of his Sport Compact campaign. The Brisbane based driver is heading to WSID Raceway, with his MR1200 Turbo Charged 4 cylinder Datsun ute.

Benny is confident and a win is on the wish list - the Team Bray Racing driver is looking to build on his personal best (for MR-1200) 8.09 AT 167 MPH performance he recorded at the 2008 Castrol EDGE Winternationals.

Ben said "Getting a win will be very tough but it is possible. I have been very time-poor lately and not been able to test the MR-1200, but due to all the help of have had from Nick and his team at Advanced Performance Centre (APC) my confidence is on the up and up and we are looking to get on with it".

"We have been over a lot of stuff with the car since the Castrol EDGE Jamboree. We now know what caused the problem. We have worked hard on it but I am going with a more traditional set-up for this week end".

"We have got a couple of things sorted out so let's hope a good race day comes together. Consistency is the aim and if the win light comes on in my lane I will take it."

"The same group of guys who put together the Castrol EDGE Jamboree, present the Campak Attak so it should have plenty of great racing and the usual bling. A lot of people have said the sport compact events are like the Indy carnival for Drag Racing with lots of off track entertainment".

"I'm looking forward to getting back out there. It's been almost 6 months and I'm eager to get into it."
The Sport Compak Attak hits WSID this Sunday March 15th 2009. The 2009 Compak Attak drag racing program will feature 9 classes.
