and MR-1200 TURN UP THE BOOST

Bray is ready for a challenge on enemy territory at this weekend's
final round of the Sport Compact Championship Series, the Brisbane
based driver is heading to Willowbank Raceway Raceway (his home
test track), not with a super charged Hemi but with his MR1200 Turbo
Charged 4 cylinder Datsun ute.
Benny is confident that a win is possible at Willowbank - the Team
Bray Racing driver looking to build on his personal best (for MR-1200)
8.09 AT 167 MPH performance at the Castrol EDGE Winternationals
just over 8 weeks ago.
Benny, who just snuck into the 16 car field at the Winternationals
with his Garret Turbo machine says the Jamboree round will be tough
for him, but he believes that MR-1200 is up to the job.
"Getting a win will be tough but it is possible. With MR-1200
recent testing success, confidence is on the up and up and we are
looking to get on with it".
"We are starting to get a couple of things sorted out so let's
hope a good race weekend comes together. Consistency is the aim
and we have it on our side at the moment."
"The Castrol EDGE Jamboree is a great event. Some people have
said it is like the Indy carnival for Drag Racing with lots of off
track entertainment. It will be pretty tough for us but a good challenge.
"We have been over a lot of stuff with the car since the Winternationals.
We know that some of the problems were with the car and some were
with me. We have worked hard on it and gone with a more traditional
set up for Jamboree".
"I'm looking forward to getting back out there. It's been almost
2 months and I'm eager to get into it."
The
Castrol EDGE Jamboree hits Willowbank Raceway this week end August
23-24 in its 18th year, for Australia's Biggest Sport Compact Drag
Racing event. The Castrol EDGE Jamboree's Off Track support program
is set to explode this year with the Show-N-Shine, Dyno Comp, Sound
Display, Club Displays, Babes on Stage, Traders and much more, it'll
be an event not to miss.
